Introduction

Dungeoneering cape

Capes of Accomplishment are a beautiful work of finery, made from costly materials and offered only to the masters of a skill. As such they are rarely seen and keenly sought by those without one, and worn with pride by those few who have earned the right.

Skillcapes

A cape of accomplishment contains magical properties that can boost the wearer's relevant skill level from 99 to 100 for a short period of time.

Right-clicking on the cape of accomplishment and selecting Operate will boost the associated skill level to 100, as will removing and then wearing the cape once the skill has gone down to 99.

The two exceptions to this rule are the Constitution cape and the Prayer cape. Players will only be able to raise their maximum possible prayer and life point level once every minute.

Owners of a cape of accomplishment will not just be able to impress their friends with their spiked shoulders and snazzy insignia; each cape also comes with its own, skill-specific emote. These are accessible via the Cape emote in the emotes interface whilst wearing the cape.

The cape of accomplishment and hood come with a hefty price tag, however. The materials are expensive and only the finest crafters make them, so each of the masters require 99,000 coins to part with a cape and matching hood.

The cape and hood are valuable items and will only be lost in extreme situations (or when they are deliberately destroyed). Replacing a cape of accomplishment and hood will require another trip to the master of the maxed skill and then paying a further 99,000 coins to retrieve them.

Please note that the damage and life bonus values will be divided by 10 (and rounded down) when using the Legacy combat system.

Trimmed skillcapes

Those who buy their cape of accomplishment with two or more skills at a level of 99 will find that they receive a 'trimmed' version of their skillcape instead of the standard skillcape. It is not possible for a player with more than one skill at 99 to get an untrimmed skillcape.

Please note that the damage and life bonus values will be divided by 10 (and rounded down) when using the Legacy combat system.

Master skillcapes

Master skillcapes

Level 99 is the furthest one can progress in most skills, but for those who want to go further, mastering a skill goes far beyond the experience taken to achieve a standard skillcape. Players may earn the master cape of accomplishment by reaching level 120 (or the equivalent amount of XP for skills besides Dungeoneering) - a feat that requires nearly eight times the amount of experience as level 99.

Master skillcapes cost 120,000 coins from a skill master, and that amount will need to be paid again should a player lose their cape.

Please note that the damage and life bonus values will be divided by 10 (and rounded down) when using the Legacy combat system.

Expert skillcapes

There are four capes that you can get based on the groupings of the skills: artisan, combat, gathering and support.

Each cape has a unique emote and can boost your skill level by 1 in the appropriate skills when you right-click the cape and choose 'Boost'.

Note that expert capes are not purchasable, instead they must be made. When you reach level 99 in a skill you will unlock the ability to gain skill shards for that skill. Combine one shard for each of the skills within a group and you will get a cape. For example, to get a support cape you'll need a deadly, agile, hidden and Daemonheim shard.

The Quest point cape

skillcape worn.gif

The quest point cape and hood are available to those who have completed every quest and received every quest point. Quest replacements, such as Gunnar's Ground which replaced Romeo and Juliet, are considered as the same quest when determining if a player has enough quest points, but players will need to complete all aspects of the new quest. The items can be bought from the Wise Old Man, inside his house in Draynor Village, for the princely sum of 99,000 coins.

Gielinor is full of danger and those looking for champions to rid the world of danger, so it is inevitable that more quests will be released as the game progresses. Upon logging into the game after a quest update, those wearing a quest point cape will receive a warning, telling them that the quest point cape has unequipped itself.

The cape and hood will then be un-wearable until all quests have been completed, at which point players will be able to equip the cape and hood once again. If the player has no inventory slots for the unequipped cape and hood then they will be stored in the player's bank. If this, too, is full then the player will have to return to the Wise Old Man to retrieve the items for free.

Note - To receive the quest point cape players will need to have completed every element of each quest and have all the necessary quest points.

Please note that the damage and life bonus values will be divided by 10 (and rounded down) when using the Legacy combat system.

Helmet of trials

Those who have accrued 300 quest points can speak to Xenia in the Lumbridge graveyard to obtain the helmet of trials. Only obtainable by the most widely travelled of adventurers, this helmet is a symbol of heroic errantry to be worn with utmost pride.

Please note that the damage and life bonus values will be divided by 10 (and rounded down) when using the Legacy combat system.
