The Wizards' Tower

Every year at Wintumber, all the wizards get together for a banquet to celebrate the season. Most years this is held in the most prestigious Wizards' Guild in Yanille. This year the wizards in the Wizards' Tower have asked to host the banquet. Zavistic Rarve has agreed to this, provided that Isidor will provide portals to get back home easily after a hard nights partying.

Introduction

While there are some wizards who wish it could be Christmas every day, Sedridor isn’t one of them. He’s been tasked with organising this year’s Wizards’ Christmas Banquet: an annual gathering of RuneScape magic - users usually hosted by the Magic Guild.

Not to be outdone, Sedridor and the tower wizards have an ambitious plan to create an extra-dimensional tower dedicated solely to seasonal cheer. It’s been an administrative nightmare, though: the imps, conjured to act as waiters, are missing; animated decorations are running amok; and the eccentric goblin and troll chef duo are taking a scarily explosive approach to Christmas catering.

Lend a helping hand to decorate the tower, organise the staff and whip up a feast to challenge even the most rotund of robed bellies. As well as a chance to meet plenty of old friends from the wizarding world, there’s also a new emote to be unlocked, a wand to spread festive goodwill to other players, and a tinsel snake pet for members. You’ll also unlock a minigame, only available over the Christmas period, where you can pit parties of battle-ready snowmen against each-other in stone-cold thaumaturgical throw-downs!

Requirements

There are no level requirements, and the event may be completed by both members and free players.

The Event

Speak to Wizard Sinterklaas outside the Wizards' Tower. He will ask for your assistance with preparing the wizards' Christmas banquet. Step through the portal and speak to Sedridor who will give you further instructions.

Let it Snow

Speak to Isidor in the basement. He will ask you to cover the floor in snow using his handy snow emitters. The emitters need to be placed in a specific way to avoid them breaking, and all areas of the floor need to be covered. Isidor will explain how the emitters work.

We's playin' hiden'seek

Ask Wizard Grayzag^* on the 2nd floor if he requires any help. After a somewhat interesting discussion, he will ask you to find 4 implings who are hiding around the tower. You should also look for his hat.

^* For those players who have completed The Void Stares Back, depending on your choice concerning Grayzag, you may need to speak to Wizard Whitezag.

Cooking 'Genius'

Kringle, in the basement, needs you to get some ingredients for the Christmas banquet however this genius has no time to speak to the likes of you. Instead, Kris will tell you exactly what you have to do. You'll be chasing puddings around the kitchen in no time. when you've given all the ingredients to Kris, speak to Kringle and watch his unique cooking method at work.

Decoration Detention

Speak to Wizard Sioncorn on the 2nd floor and help her stop her magically infused Christmas decorations from escaping.

The Feast

When you have completed all 4 tasks, speak to Sedridor again to attend the banquet and receive your reward.

Rewards

Completing the event unlocked the Chaotic Cookery emote and gave a Christmas wand. Members were able to get a tinsel snake called Sparkles for a pet (if they could catch him trying to steal the Christmas puddings from the kitchen, that is).
