Deflect Melee is one of the powers granted by the Ancient Curses, requiring a Prayer level of 71 and completion of The Temple at Senntisten quest to use. When activated, it will protect the user from damage caused by Summoning Familiars, like the Protect from Melee prayer. Deflected attacks also have a chance of rebounding 10% of the damage that would have been caused onto the attacker - for example, a deflected melee attack that would have caused 100 damage to the target would instead cause 10 damage to the attacker.
