The dragon mace (often abbreviated as D mace) is a weapon made of Dragon metal and is one of the strongest maces in Gielinor. It requires level 60 Attack and completion of the Heroes' Quest to wield. As with all maces, the dragon mace deals powerful crushing damage and carries a Prayer bonus. It comes with a special attack, like all dragon weapons, called shatter.
To obtain a dragon mace, the player can buy one from Helemos in the Heroes' Guild, for 50,000 coins, or can trade with other players - directly or through the Grand Exchange. Its off-hand equivalent is the off-hand dragon mace. There is also a corrupt version in the form of the corrupt dragon mace, which is available to free-to-play players.
The dragon mace is not a commonly used weapon, however, it is still a powerful one. In the right circumstances, a player can deal over 500 damage four times (five with the ring of vigour), which can turn the tables in a fight.
The dragon mace is less commonly used in PvP activities compared to the dragon longsword due to pures being unable to obtain it, thus removing a large portion of players who might otherwise use it for PvP activities. However, the dragon mace is often considered stronger in terms of its special attack.
