A dragon tipped spear. |

The Dragon spear (commonly abbreviated as D spear) can be obtained as a rare drop from many monsters, it requires 60 attack to equip. It may be poisoned by adding weapon poison or Karambwan paste to it. When the spear is poisoned, the tip turns a bright neon green. If the spear is poisoned with Karambwan paste, the poison will damage faster, along with making the tip a different shade of green.
There are a few ways this spear can be obtained; by a drop from many monsters, buying it on the Grand Exchange, or trading with another player. The cheapest method of obtaining it, besides as a drop, is through the Grand Exchange. The corrupt counterpart available to free-to-play users, called the Corrupt dragon spear, it may be obtained as a drop from the Forinthry Dungeon, which is only available to subscribed players. However, on a member's server, the dragon spear is much better. This is because it has a special attack, called shove, along with not degrading and being cheaper.
It is often used as a cheaper counterpart to the Zamorakian spear. However, even the Zamorak spear is not commonly used. However, both are used mostly when killing the Corporeal beast or in Castle Wars.
Special Attack
Shove is often considered one of the worst special attacks in the game. However, it can be very useful when used correctly in certain activites. It requires 25% of the special attack bar, allowing for four consecutive special attacks with the full gauge. When used on a player, the player is moved one space backwards. Along with being moved, the player is stunned for three seconds. During this time, they cannot eat, change prayers, change armours, or move.
With this ability, it was often used to keep players away from the door leaving Bounty Hunter, prior to the removal of Bounty Hunter. Now, the special attack is mainly used in Castle Wars, as it can stun players holding the flag, and they can't eat, but can still be attacked. It is also used in multi-combat areas of the Wilderness, the reason for this is so that the opponent can no longer attack, run or change over-head prayers.
