Start the quest by talking to Veronica, located at the gates to Draynor Manor. She tells you that she needs your help and that her boyfriend, Ernest, has not returned from inside the Manor.
Agree to help her find Ernest and continue down the path toward the manor. (Watch out! Some trees may attack you!)
After entering the Manor, continue up the large stairs directly north of you. After ascending the stairs, continue up the ladder which is located on the wall in the southwestern corner of the room. After you climb the ladder, open the door to your east and talk to Professor Oddenstein.
Tell him that you are looking for Ernest, to which he replies that Ernest has been changed into a chicken. He can't change Ernest back because his machine has been broken, so he sends you off to find spare parts: Rubber tubing, an Oil can and a Pressure gauge.
Note: Lower levels may want to bring some food and/or armor for the monsters within the Manor
Leave the manor by going down to ground level and through the door to the far east. Pick up the spade on the ground in this room! After taking the spade, head out the door in the same room to the outside of the Manor. Proceed to go to the western side of the Manor grounds. Once there, you should see a Compost mound, search it to obtain a key.
Head back inside through the front doors. Go through the east door and head to the northern part of the manor. There, you should see a room containing a level 22 Skeleton and the Rubber tube. Use your key to open the door and grab the tube (Low levels may want to bring food)
After obtaining the Rubber tubing, head west to a room with a witch inside. Open the door inside the room and grab the poison on the table. Now go back up the large wooden stairs and head to the southern room on the second floor. Inside will be a ghost and some fish food. Grab the fish food and head back to the Manor grounds.
Go to the southwestern corner of the Manor grounds; there should be a fountain. Use the poison on the fish food to recieve a poisoned fish food. Use the poisoned fish food on the fountain. You should recieve a message stating that the fish inside have died. Search the fountain to obtain the Pressure Gauge.
Head back inside the Manor, this time going through the west door. Search the Candle sconce on the western wall of the room to locate a secret door. You will head through it and end up in a room. Go down the ladder in the room.
You will end up in a cellar with a few cells and levers. They form a puzzle that must be solved in order to get the Oil Can.
You must pull the levers in this order to complete the puzzle:
After completing this, the west door should open up. Proceed to go through the west door and pick up the oil can.
After you've managed to get all three items, head back up to the Professor and give him the items. He will then change Ernest back to normal. After talking to Ernest, you will be able to collect your rewards. Congratulations, Quest complete!

The adventurer encounters Veronica near Draynor Manor, who is worried that her boyfriend Ernest has not come back from the manor after going in there to ask for directions. The adventurer agrees to help her and enters the manor. On the top floor of the manor, the adventurer meets Professor Oddenstein, who tells them that Ernest was helping him with an experiment involving a machine and by mistake, he had turned Ernest into a chicken. While the professor is more than happy to change Ernest back into a human, the gremlins of the manor had stolen three components of the machine and without them, the machine won't operate. The professor assigns the adventurer the task of finding the pressure gauge, a rubber tube, and an oil can in any order as they wish.
The adventurer finds the pressure gauge in a fountain full of piranhas, which unfortunately block their way to get the gauge. The adventurer decided to feed them fish food, which they poisoned so the piranhas would die. The adventurer was now able to get the gauge.
The adventurer digs up a key using a spade on the compost heap and finds out that the key unlocks a door in the manor. The room contained the rubber tube and a Skeleton. The adventurer gets the tube, even with the Skeleton in the way.
The adventurer finds a secret room in the western-most room of the manor and enters the basement. To get the oil can, they had to solve a puzzle involving levers.
Once the adventurer obtains all of the missing parts, the professor is now able to use his machine to make Ernest human again. Ernest briefly does not understand what had happened to him but rewards the adventurer.
