Fire runes are one of the four elemental runes (along with Air runes, Earth runes and Water runes) that are used in the Magic style of combat to cast spells. Fire runes are used all across magic, in both combat and support spells, though they have been rendered somewhat obsolete by the elemental Staff of fire and various upgraded versions.

Fire runes are extraordinarily common, with some monsters dropping stacks of 150 fire runes commonly. Because of the large amount of these runes present in the game, they tend to be worth very little. However, because of the Polypore staff which requires fire runes to charge they have risen a lot lately. Fire runes are almost always in the top 10 of the "most traded items" list of tracks which items traded day-by-day in the greatest numbers.
