General Graardor is the boss of the Bandos army within the God Wars Dungeon. Graardor has a combat level of 210, making him the third highest level boss in the dungeon (next to Nex and K'ril Tsutsaroth) and one of the highest levelled monsters in-game, although level is only a crude indication of power. Many consider him the easiest in the God Wars Dungeon, making him a good boss to attempt first for those new to the dungeon.

Players must have a kill count of 40 creatures in Bandos' section of the dungeon as well as at least 70 strength and a hammer or golden hammer in order to fight him. He is the only monster to drop the Bandos hilt and also drops the Bandos tassets, and Bandos chestplate. He is the most popular boss in the God Wars Dungeon.

General Graardor attacks with both Melee and Ranged, which have a max hit of 610 and 355, respectively.

Strategy

Depending on your combat level it is advised that you bring a team. Also depending on your combat level will be the amount of people on your team. The main person in this team is the tanker. The tank will make Graardor focus his melee attack on him so everyone else can just protect from ranged without having to worry about Graardor's melee attack. The tank will therefore be taking the most damage and thus will need high level defense gear and food. As a tank, full Guthans and/or a Saradomin Godsword help a lot since it gives you the possibility to heal between kills or during kills. Needless to say Soul Split is advised.

At higher level teams people will often not look for a tank anymore since the kills are so fast, the damage taken is low anyway. Before Graardor spawns, the whole team must stand near the wall closest to the door and the tanker will be standing between the team and graardor's spawn point. It is capital that the tanker hits Graardor before anyone else. Also only the tank should have an aggressive familiar for aggressive familiars will make Graardor focus on you. War tortoises, terror birds, and titans ARE aggressive. When Graardor is killed, kill the mage minion first, since it will deal the most damage.

The World Wakes

Graardor also appears as a boss in The World Wakes. He is only level-140 and fights alone, but has a few special attacks you should be aware of when facing him.

"Graardor protect" - Graardor will take a defensive stance. He will not move or attack, but 50% of any damage you deal during this stance will be reflected back to you.
"Graardor smash!" - Graardor will smash the ground with both fists, so get out of the way to avoid this. He will become stuck and cannot attack for a few seconds, but will cause rocks to fall from the ceiling so keep moving to avoid being hurt too badly.
"Graardor mad!" - Graardor will wildly attack the area in front of him and ignore your movements, so get behind him to score some free hits. Graardor's aggression means he will take 150% damage during this phase.
