- RuneScape Wiki
The golden hammer is an item released on 20th December 2010, along with the golden cracker, to commemorate Jagex winning the Golden Joystick award in 2009 and 2010. It can be used for skilling like a normal hammer, wielded as a weapon, or used to perform two emotes: Brandish (2009) and Spin (2010).
Prior to 31st August 2011, golden hammers were added directly to players' banks and a message would appear for those players explaining it. The message has since been removed, but players can still obtain a hammer by pulling a golden cracker with another player. Crackers can be obtained by speaking to Diango in Draynor Village, or to Ianto in the Tower of Voices in Prifddinas.
