Examine A mask that displays your affinity with basilisks. Requires Defence (30).
Weight 0.5 kg

The Mask of Reflection is a reward from the Treasure Hunter minigame. It was previously available on the Squeal of Fortune minigame before its removal on 4th February 2014.

This mask provides several bonuses when fighting basilisks for players looking to train their Slayer skill or earn additional drops. After a player kills 500 basilisks while wearing the mask, it will transform into the helmed version (Helm of Little Kings) which has similar benefits, but does not provide extra drops or damage, or the XP boost.

Benefits while worn
Guaranteed task Once per day (midnight GMT reset), while wearing the relevant mask, the next assignment the player receives will be for basilisks. Players will still need to go to a slayer master that normally assigns these creatures (Vannaka, Chaeldar, Sumona) – if not, they will be told which slayer master does assign them. This does not work for players in the process of setting up a co-op slayer assignment.
Slayer damage boost The mask confers the same damage boost against basilisks (but only while on assignment) as the slayer helmet.
Slayer XP Killing a basilisk while wearing the mask grants an additional 40 Slayer XP - the number equivalent to the Slayer level required to fight it. This is given regardless of current assignment, and in addition to assignment and/or contract XP. The XP awarded by the mask can be boosted by items.
Extra drops Killing basilisks while wearing the mask will grant additional drops for every 10th kill. This grants a second roll on the creature's drop table including: the 100% drop, the main drop, and the charm drop (and any other tertiary drops).
Kill count Every basilisk killed is tallied, while the mask is worn. The mask has 500 kills assigned to it that, once reached, ‘uses up’ the Slayer XP and double drops effects, and turns the mask into a helm. A Spirit of Battle can be used to reset the mask's kill count to 0, enabling these benefits once more. The kill count can be tracked up to 999,999.
Trophy drops The chance of receiving a basilisk head is doubled.
Slayer item The mask acts as face mask and a mirror shield.
Right-click benefits
Daily teleports Each mask can, up to twice per day, teleportits owner directly to a choice of locations where basilisks can be found. Players will needs level-40 Slayer to use these teleports.
Check kills The mask can put a message into chat that shows the owner's total number of basilisk kills. If the helm has yet to be unlocked, there’s also a message to say how many more kills are needed to do so.
Change look After the helm version has been unlocked, players are free to switch between the helm and mask versions, as a cosmetic preference only – this does not restore the Slayer XP and double drop effects to the mask, only a Spirit of Battle can do that.
