Osman is the Spymaster of Al Kharid and works for Emir Shah.
During Stolen Hearts, he sends his daughter Leela to look for traces of Ali Mirza and attends a meeting between the Emir, Hassan, and the Menaphite ambassador Jabari. He acts insulting to his guest and suspects that Menaphos is behind the prince's kidnapping, which Jabari denies.
When Jabari and Hassan leave, the Emir tells him that he is dying and that he will only live for a short while now. Regardless of the situation on his son, Osman must not give the kidnappers the Kharid-ib as the ransom. Osman protests at first but ultimately complies.
Osman soon catches the player and Ozan trying to steal the Kharid-ib but upon hearing the secret passphrase that only he and his daughter knows, he decides not to punish the two and send them to the Emir. Despite hearing their story, the Emir refuses to give up the diamond but soon dies of what looks like a heart attack. Osman tells Hassan to save him but Hassan does not comply as the Emir is already dead.
Back at the throne room, Osman apologizes for the whole situation and decides not to punish the player and Ozan and grants Ozan his citizenship back. He decides to send them for another mission but asks him/her where Ozan is. During Diamond in the Rough, when Osman found out that he was outside for a walk, he tells the player to fetch him. Once he/she did, Osman tells them in the vault that the Kharid-ib up on the display was a fake and advises them to hold on to the heaviest weight as part of the weight puzzle in the vault as he knows that the main reason they stole the diamond anyway was to save the prince. Osman soon locks the vault and traps them in.
Later, once Osman congratulates the player and Leela for saving the prince, who is now emir, back from the kidnappers. Leela tells him that the diamond was still lost but Osman reveals that he used Ozan as a scapegoat so everybody thinks that Ozan lost the Kharid-ib now. Leela calls her father manipulative but he tells her that it was Ozan's choice to steal the diamond and that she should return to her station at Draynor Village. Once Leela leaves, Osman remarks that she is becoming more like her mother.
