The Polypore staff was released on November 28, 2011, along with the Polypore Dungeon update. This staff is the charged form of the Polypore stick.

A fully charged staff holds a maximum of 3,000 charges which are expended by casting Polypore Strike - a spell unique to the staff that can not be cast in any other way. Each time the spell is cast, the staff loses one charge. Once a charge has been used, the staff becomes untradeable (it can only be traded if empty or full of charges). This is advantageous because it requires no runes, therefore saving inventory space and allowing the player to use any spell book of their choice.

Farming skill icon Charging this staff requires 3,000 Polypore spores and five Fire runes per spore (15,000) as well as a Farming level of 80 is required to perform the charge (this can be assisted or boosted). The staff can be charged/recharged at any state other than full.
