The Rune defender is a defender made of Rune.
It was released on June 12, 2006 along with all the other defenders, except the Dragon defender.
The Rune Defender is the second strongest defender in game, only surpassed by the Dragon Defender, it is held in the shield slot and is commonly used for its high Attack and Strength bonuses.

Please note: In order to gain access to the Warriors' Guild, your Attack and Strength levels must add up to 130 or above. Alternatively, if you have 99 Attack or Strength, you can also get in. This is the only exception.
Obtaining One
To obtain a Rune Defender, you must go to the Warriors' Guild and kill Cyclops.
Gaining access to the top floor of the Warriors' Guild requires tokens, which are acquired on the lower floors.
Once inside the room, you need to kill Cyclops and start getting defenders.
The order of the Defenders is:
Note: You must have a Bronze defender to have a chance at getting an Iron defender, an Iron for getting a chance at Steel defender, and so on.
