The rune longsword is a one-handed melee weapon. It requires level 50 Attack to wield. Prior to the Evolution of Combat update, Rune Longswords were not as used compared to the Rune Scimitar since the latter weapons was faster and cheaper than the longsword, making it a popular weapon to use in free-to-play. The Rune Longsword has now been reduced to par with the Rune Sword, but has a Slash-style instead of a Stab like the Rune Sword. The Rune Longsword is dropped by the Frost Dragon, the King Black Dragon, General Graardor, and other monsters.
