The Runefest 2011 hood was given to players who attended the RuneFest 2011 event in London, England. Players were given a code in the RuneFest goodiebag on a scratch card that could be redeemed at Diango in Draynor Village to claim their Runefest 2011 hood. The code could only be used once and if the player loses their hood, it can re-obtained from Diango for free. The hood is purely cosmetic and is only obtainable for people who attended RuneFest 2011.

It is similar to the Flagstaff of festivities being that they both are items related to RuneFest, however the Flagstaff of festivities was more easily obtained as players could receive one if they bought a ticket, no matter if they attended the actual RuneFest event or not.

As the examine says,Marikdebie designed the hood during the “Awesome-RuneFest 2011-Item-Headgear-Concept-Competition” which was a competition announced by Jagex on the RuneFest website on July 22, 2011. The competition required a piece of headwear to be designed for attendees of RuneFest 2011, with Marikdebie winning the contest.
