Star sprites are magical beings that control the shooting stars that streak across the skies of RuneScape and give the stars their bright glow. They are somewhat humanoid and childlike in appearance, are small in stature, have a yellowish hue, and glimmer constantly. The sprites are generally jovial beings that are rarely seen without a smile on their faces.

Unlike stationary stars, which are balls of gas, the shooting stars Star sprites control are made of celestial rocks. Every so often, a Star sprite will crash its star into the surface of RuneScape and will need your assistance to be freed from its star. After mining the layers of the star away to free it, you can present the Sprite with stardust from the star to obtain a reward.
