Weight 0.5 kg

A superior gem-finding scrimshaw is an item that can only be made in a Player-Owned Ports workshop. To learn how to make this item, the player must first collect all four pieces of the gem-finding scrimshaw scroll, which can be found by sending adventurers on special voyages.

After completing the scroll, the player can make a gem-finding scrimshaw in the port workshop from ten ancient bones. This requires level-90 Fletching and provides 4,000 Fletching XP, not including the percentage bonus given by the workshop.

The scrimshaw is worn in the pocket slot. While it is active, mining ores has a chance of producing diamond, dragonstone and, very rarely, onyx gems. Higher-level rocks have a better chance of producing gems. The scrimshaw will last for four hours before crumbling to dust.
