TzTok-Jad, or simply Jad, is the final challenge of the TzHaar Fight Cave encountered on wave 63. Players who defeat him will be rewarded with a fire cape and 16,064 Tokkul. At combat level 702, Jad is the seventh strongest monster in RuneScape and held the record of strongest monster for three years until the Corporeal Beast was released on 15 September 2008.

Although Jad cannot be given as a Slayer assignment, Kuradal may ask players to take on the Fight Caves as part of a special challenge. Players who accept the challenge and then reach and defeat Jad are given 25,000 Slayer experience. The Grim Reaper may also ask you to kill Jad a number of times as part of a reaper assignment, which can award a maximum of 10,000 Slayer XP and 10 reaper points if successfully completed.

The Fight

TzTok-Jad is an extremely powerful enemy, capable of killing any player in one or two hits. Unlike most enemies, Jad's attacks can be 100% nullified by protection prayers or curses and it is vital to do so. Players wishing to beat Jad must watch his attack animations and quickly switch to the appropriate prayers to avoid being hurt.

  • For magic attacks, Jad will lower his head and appear to exhale flames, before launching a fireball at the player.
  • For ranged attacks, Jad will slam his front feet into the ground. A second later, a rock will fall onto the player's head.
  • Jad will only use his melee attack if players stand too close, without warning. For this reason, it is not recommended to fight Jad with melee.

When Jad's health falls below half, four Yt-HurKot will come out and start to heal him. Players must attack all four, drawing aggression from them, and either kill them or tank the damage while still dealing with TzTok-Jad's attacks. Because a single missed prayer can cost players the entire fight, it is probably best to just draw the HurKot away from Jad and ignore their attacks. Dead HurKot will not respawn unless they successfully heal Jad back to full health.

When Jad dies, players automatically perform the "Cheer" emote and are kicked out of the caves, regardless of whether or not there are any surviving Yt-HurKot. Players are then awarded 16,064 Tokkul and a Fire cape.

Fight Kiln

With the release of the TokHaar Fight Kiln, players are able to sacrifice a fire cape as part of gaining access to another Wave-based minigame, involving fighting a range of TokHaar - including multiple TokHaar-Jad which are similar to the TzTok-Jad, as well as the level 800 creature, Har-Aken. This allows plays to recieve the TokHaar-Kal.
