TzTok-Jad or Jad is a level 140 TzHaar creature fought on wave 63 in the Fight Caves. He is the boss of the Fight Caves and killing him will reward players with the nontradeable fire cape. Jad is the seventh strongest monster in RuneScape and held the record of strongest monster for three years until the Corporeal Beast was released on 15 September, 2008.
Although Jad cannot be given as a Slayer assignment, Kuradal may ask players to take on the Fight Caves as part of a special challenge. Players who accept the challenge and then reach and defeat Jad are given 25,000 Slayer experience.
TzTok-Jad is an extremely powerful enemy, capable of killing all but the strongest players in one or two hits. Unlike most enemies, Jad's attacks can be 100% nullified by protection prayers and it is vital to do so. TzTok-Jad will bend down before launching a magic attack and stomp the ground before attacking with ranged. TzTok-Jad will only use his melee attack if players stand too close to him, with no warning. Players must quickly switch their prayers to avoid being hit very hard.
When TzTok-Jad's health falls below half, four Yt-HurKot will come out and start to heal him. Players must attack all four, drawing aggression from them, and either kill them or tank the damage while still dealing with TzTok-Jad's attacks. Be warned that even one mistake here can cost players the entire fight. Yt-HurKot killed will not respawn unless they successfully heal TzTok-Jad back to full health.
When Jad dies, players automatically perform the "Cheer" emote and are kicked out of the caves, regardless of whether or not there are any surviving Yt-HurKot. Players are then awarded 16,064 Tokkul and a Fire cape.
With the release of the TokHaar Fight Kiln, players are able to sacrifice a fire cape as part of gaining access to another Wave-based minigame, involving fighting a range of TokHaar - including multiple TokHaar-Jad which are similar to the TzTok-Jad, as well as the level 160 creature, Har-Aken. This allows plays to recieve the TokHaar-Kal.
