The Unholy Cursebearer is a boss found in the Abandoned floors of Daemonheim, requiring a Dungeoneering level of 29 to be encountered. He can be found on floors 15-17 and on floors 30-35, and is most commonly found on floors 15-17.
The Cursebearer is a mage-type opponent who attacks with Melee and Magic attacks. His melee attack is a sweeping attack that hits everyone in front of him. His magic attack involves shooting balls of fire that hit every player in his room. Both of these attacks can be completely blocked by prayer.
This boss has a passive aura ability that slowly drains the stats of every player in the room, and deals them damage. Players should watch their levels carefully, and when they fall dangerously low, recharge at the altars on the wall of his room, near the exit ladder. This slightly restores the boss's health as well as replenishing the players stats, though, so it should be used cautiously.
He has low defense overall, making him easy to kill. He will randomly prioritize one player and chase that player to the exclusion of all others; if that player stays out of melee range, this boss will only use magic.
The Unholy Cursebearer is vulnerable to Range, and is especially weak against the Hexhunter bow. It is possible for a player with a Hexhunter bow to solo the 5:5 Large version of this boss, if they remain outside of his melee reach, keep their stats high, and have enough food and prayer to withstand his damaging aura and magic attacks.
