Squeal of Fortune - Mine Blowing

Squeal of Fortune - Mine Blowing

Birthright of the Dwarves - the latest Grandmaster quest - was released this week, so now’s the perfect time to celebrate all things dwarven and boost your Mining and Smithing XP with the Squeal of Fortune!

Give the Squeal a spin from tonight and you’ll notice two new items up for grabs: the black iron ring and the jewelled black iron ring. Equip either one and start mining to attract the attention of Evryn: a helpful dwarf and miner extraordinaire. Every so often Evryn will tunnel his way out of the ground and toss black iron ore your way. If you’re wearing a jewelled black iron ring, he’s more likely to be generous and yield larger amounts of black iron ore – or even a black diamond if you’re particularly lucky.

Take your black iron ore and black diamonds to Ivar, a dwarven smith at the Artisans' Workshop and he will gladly trade them in for Mining XP or Smithing XP!

While the rings are on the Squeal of Fortune, there’s also an increased chance of winning Mining and Smithing XP lamps and pendants, as well as Smithing skill crates.

Black iron rings and jewelled black iron rings are on the Squeal of Fortune from Friday 4th October 01:00 BST until Tuesday 15th October 00:59 BST. After this date the rings (as well as the diamonds and ore gained from them) will remain in-game for two weeks during which time you can use their charges or you can right-click them and select the 'shatter' option to instantly claim 50% of an unused ring's average potential XP, destroying it in the process. On Tuesday 29th October 00:00 GMT the items will disappear, so be sure to use up your charges and hand in your ore and diamonds before then. For times in other time zones, take a look here.

Everyone gets at least one spin per day, and can earn more through gameplay. Click here to find out how. If you'd like more, you can purchase spins here, by redeeming Bonds in-game, or by clicking 'Add Spins' in the Squeal of Fortune interface.
