Treasure Hunter – Wonder Bar

Fill up the Wonder Bar on Treasure Hunter this weekend and make your next prize a doozy!

From 00:00 UTC (game time) on the 8th of May until 23:59 UTC on the 11th of May, you'll find the Wonder Bar at the top of the Treasure Hunter interface.

As you open chests, the bar will gradually fill up. There are three coloured zones along the bar – yellow, orange and red.

Clicking the 'activate' button when the bar's within a coloured zone means that your next Treasure Hunter prize will be from that category or rarer.

The more you fill up the Wonder Bar, the higher the minimum category for your next prize. For example, activate when you hit yellow and your next prize will be from the yellow, orange, red or purple categories. Wait until you hit red, and your prize will be from red or purple!

Note that activating only uses up the charge required to reach the zone you're in – so you won't waste any charge by activating part way through a zone.

As a bonus, each Road Trip task you complete over the four days (manually, not via a JMod) will grant you a Wonder Bar charge booster. When consumed, this item will grant you three charges on the Wonder Bar!

Enjoy a few boosts to your prize categories this weekend, or hold out for the big wins – the choice is yours! Have fun, and give us your feedback on the forums.

What is Treasure Hunter?

Treasure Hunter is a minigame – playable from within RuneScape - where players use Keys to claim in-game items as prizes. These range from useful resources to rare weapons and exclusive gear.

Playing Treasure Hunter is simple – click the treasure chest icon that pops up when you log in. If you've not played before, just follow the on-screen guide.

Everyone gets at least one Key per day, and RuneScape members get two. You can earn more Keys while playing the game, or stock up by redeeming Bonds.

If you'd like more, you can also buy Keys on the website, or by clicking 'Buy Keys' within the Treasure Hunter interface in-game.
